Sen. Braun welcomes Chicago cops who take issue with city COVID regulations to work in Indiana

Senator Mike Braun has a message for Chicago police officers seeking to defy the Windy City’s vaccine mandate.

And that message is: Come work in Indiana.

Braun says his office is ready to welcome any Chicago cop looking to work without a vaccine mandate, and help them find work in The Hoosier State. He says plenty of departments are hiring right now.

The Indy Star reports that the Chicago Police Union and City Hall have been at a stalemate over the mandate for weeks, with officers asked to report their vaccine status a week ago or submit to twice-weekly COVID testing through the end of the year. Those who refused to report were placed on no-pay status.
