South Bend Police were called to the 100 block of East Bowman Street, late last month.

There the victim said she stopped her car in an alley when Angel Torres walked up to her driver’s side window carrying a machete, reached in through the window and attempted to stab her.

ABC-57 reports while continuing to make threats, Torres got into his vehicle and rammed the victim’s vehicle before driving away from the scene.

Court documents alleged an officer on scene noted Torres threatened other people with the machete.

Torres was charged with battery by means of a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon and intimidation.
