A SWAT situation came to a peaceful end in South Bend.

Police were called to a home in the area of Kenilworth Road and Beechwood Street, late Wednesday morning, when a suspect being served a warrant out of Whitley County refused to surrender.

The SWAT team was brought in and tried to coax the suspect out.

When that didn’t work, they shot gas into the home and the suspect gave up peacefully.
