Two hurt in Goshen crash involving an SUV and buggy

Two Goshen residents were hurt in a crash involving an SUV and an Amish buggy.

The collision happened around 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the intersection of County Roads 30 and 37.

Elkhart County sheriff’s investigators say the buggy had stopped at the stop signed, but proceeded into the path of the SUV, which had the right-of-way.

A 21-year-old woman and 25-year-old man in the buggy received head injuries and were taken to Goshen Hospital.

The horse was not hurt and neither was the woman driving the SUV.
