A Muncie woman is accused of attacking her boyfriend with a knife after he complained about her cooking.

Angela Jones, 38, faces preliminary charges of domestic battery with a deadly weapon, reports The Star Press.

Officers were sent to a a house on North Miami Ave. Sunday night after someone called 911 and hung up.

A man at the home said Jones, who had been drinking, cut his hand with a kitchen knife.

The man said he told Jones the food she had prepared was too salty and asked her to make something else. Jones got upset and started screaming at him, according to court papers.

Jones told officers that her boyfriend had come at her with a screwdriver, court papers said, but she had no visible injuries.

The man was treated at the scene but did not go to the hospital.

He also tried to convince officers not to take Jones to jail, but was unsuccessful, reports The Star Press.

Jones was being held Monday in the Delaware County Jail.
