Southwest Michigan’s Round Barn winery is looking to expand with a new location.

There are plans to create a Round Barn Restaurant & Pub in the City of Niles. The plan hinges on a proposed rezoning of the former Grace United Methodist Church on Grant Street.

Round Barn has been looking to establish a presence in The City of Four Flags for several years, including looking at the Riverfront Café property. It will take more than a million dollars to convert the church into a restaurant and bar. If approved, the property would become the 7th location for the company, and the 4th to bear the Round Barn name.

A public hearing on the proposal is expected in January.
