A man barricaded himself inside of a hotel on the IU campus in Bloomington.

Police were puzzled when they got the call from dispatchers, around 10:40 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, said an IUPD spokesperson.

The person who called 911 said they were at Indiana Memorial Union Hotel.

Officers got there and found a man who had barricaded himself inside of hotel room in the building — and refused to come out.

Officers negotiated for a little while and eventually got the man to come out on his own.

He’s now in police custody.
