The state-funded COVID-19 testing sites located on West Lincoln Avenue in Goshen and East Jackson Boulevard in Elkhart have made changes as to who can receive a RAPID test.
Starting now, those tests are reserved only for people age 18 and younger or symptomatic individuals age 50 and older. For everybody else, it’s PCR tests, which can take a few days for the results to come back.
The change is due to the limited supply of rapid tests available from the state.
Elkhart County Health Department leaders are asking that people NOT take out their frustration on the testing site staff as they had no part in making the change.
They say if you have a complaint, to call the Indiana State Department of Health.

I have seen that the CDC is recommending discontiued use of the swab tests because they cant tell the difference between covid and just the flu. Why are they still using them then?? I expect no answer to this because they are not being truthful with us. Anyway my thoughts.
