Man charged in connection with woman’s shooting on Kenmore Street in South Bend

A man has been charged in a shooting in South Bend.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert, just after 12:30p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13, in the 200 block of South Kenmore Street, where they found a 28-year-old woman suffering from a bullet wound.

Ryheeme McCleod, 19, has been charged with battery and criminal recklessness in connection with that shooting.

No word about what led to the gunfire.

The victim is expected to recover.
