Two suspects accused of breaking-and-entering were no match for the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office drone.

It was around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, March 4, when police were called to a warehouse in the 8500 block of Gast Road after the owner got an alert by his surveillance cameras and saw two suspects in the building.

Officers from Berrien County, Michigan State Police, Lincoln Township and Bridgman set up a perimeter and deployed a drone with a thermal image camera to check the area.

The drone centered in on two people hiding in the woods.

A 35-year-old man and a 39-year-old man, both from Chicagoland, were taken into custody.

Police also found two vehicles at the warehouse and the investigators said the vehicles were loaded with around $60,000 worth of merchandise from the business.
