Hoosiers are seeing the value of tourism in southern Indiana.

In a recent survey 75-percent of respondents in Clark and Floyd Counties said tourism is good for the local economy.

Jim Epperson with Southern Indiana Tourism tells Inside Indiana Business there has never been any bad feelings about tourism in the region before, but to see that many people people have a favorable opinion was mind boggling.

He thinks the pandemic put things in perspective and gave people a better appreciation for tourism, since local businesses had to go so long without it.
