A company that makes electric delivery vehicles in Mishawaka is planning layoffs.

Electric Last Mile Solutions is letting go of 50-employees, or nearly a quarter of the company’s workforce.

WNDU reports the layoffs are part of a plan to focus on the company’s core business and streamline its cost structure.

The company’s CEO resigned earlier this year, after an investigation found he was involved in a questionable sale of equity securities.
