The Winding Brook Park subdivision is considering joining The City of Mishawaka.

The neighborhood association is looking to address any concerns with a neighborhood survey. Their board president told WSBT that some residents were concerned that joining The Princess City would ultimately raise taxes, whereas others see advantages with leaf and garbage pickup, voting in city matters, and more.

The process would take years to complete if it moves ahead, according to the Mishawaka City Planner, and Winding Brook hopes to have an open discussion with someone from the city in the near future.
