Middlebury toll road plaza to reopen in June

A fire caused major damage to the toll plaza in Middlebury and, several months later, the exit remains closed.

It was a vehicle fire, back in January, that badly damaged the plaza and caused structural damage to the lanes at Exit 107.

Now, the Indiana Toll Road says the plaza is expected to reopen in June.

They say the damage from the blaze was severe and that supply chain issues have caused work to take longer than expected.

Their message to drivers who have used the exit on a regular basis is: they’re working as fast as possible to get the plaza reopened they’ll keep everybody informed through their website as the reopening date is finalized.
