St. Joseph County has a new Executive Director of 911 Communications.

Julie Tobey is an eight-year veteran of the county’s 911 dispatch, and was named Indiana Dispatcher of the year in 2019. She has more than a decade of experience in her field, according to ABC 57.

Tobey has been serving in the role on an interim basis since February when previous director Ray Shultz stepped down.
