The Indiana Department of Natural Resources rescued three men when their boat sank in Spear Lake.
One of the men reached out to grab a fishing pole that fell in the water when the boat began to take in water and sink.
Conservation officers and nearby boaters rescued the three men with no injuries involved, but they said that the men did not have the required personal flotation devices.
