Cassopolis man hurt after vehicle hits tree, overturns

Speed is believed to be a factor in a single vehicle crash that injured a Cassopolis man.

The collision happened around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, on M-62 near Beeson Street in LaGrange Township.

The Cass County Sheriff’s investigation showed the Cassopolis man was traveling northbound when he lost control of his vehicle going around a curve.

The driver was unable to gain control of his vehicle, left the roadway, and struck a tree, causing his vehicle to overturn.

He was transported by Pride Care Ambulance to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital, for non-life threatening injuries.

Assisting agencies on scene were Pride Care Ambulance, Cassopolis Fire Department and Cassopolis Police Department.
