The annual Shortcakes on the Blacktop fundraiser returns for the first time since before the pandemic.

The event, hosted by the Cathedral of Saint James, runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 10, at the Cathedral of St. James on North Lafayette Boulevard in downtown South Bend.

What’s being served is homemade shortcake, fresh strawberries, ice cream, and whipped cream for $6 dollars. Dairy-free and gluten-free options are available.

All net proceeds from the fundraiser support St. Margaret’s House, Chiara Home, Dismas House, and direct ministry.
