Group protesting demolition of building in South Bend

A historic landmark in South Bend that has stood for more than 100 years is being torn down.

The South Bend Brewing Association building in the 1600 block of Lincolnway West is being called a “public safety hazard” by the city.

Even though it appears too late to save the building, a group of citizens continue to peacefully protest in hopes to save other historic buildings in the area.

The demolition should be completed within 30 days.
