The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are heading to the College World Series.

Notre Dame scored seven unanswered runs in a decisive third game of the NCAA Super-Regional on Sunday as they knocked off the number-1 ranked Tennessee Volunteers 7-to-3.

This is just the third time ever Notre Dame has advanced to the College World Series in Omaha.

The Irish will take on the Texas Longhorns when they get to Omaha this weekend to begin double elimination play.

They will be one of eight teams vying for college baseball’s national championship.
