Governor Holcomb issued a statement Monday after the Greenwood Park Mall shooting news conference.

He said he joins all Hoosiers in being grateful for the quick, heroic actions taken by an individual citizen and first responders on Sunday evening in Greenwood.

He credits them with “surely preventing further loss of life and injuries,” and adds the he stands with the community in grieving the loss of lives.

Holcomb also said his thoughts are with the many people impacted by the tragic shooting, including innocent bystanders “whose lives are forever changed.”

Why isn’t Holcomb calling out Simon Properties for their silly “no weapons” policies? If the Good Samaritan hadn’t have ignored those stupid rules, lots more people would have been killed.

It’s time to put an end to gun free zones in Indiana!

Good thing he ignored the gun fee zone signs on the doors. Signs don’t protect you. You need to protect you and others, too.

This is why you need to carry. Gun free zones are target rich environments to these nut cases.

Also, no gun signs don’t carry the weight of law in Indiana. If they see your gun and ask you to leave, you leave or you can get charged with trespassing. Just conceal it.

I often see the sign on some small business,

NOTICE
LAWFUL
concealed carry
permitted
on premises

We need to have a law that says that lawful carry is legal in any facility that invites the public onto their property. Oh yes I understand “sensitive” property like schools, courthouses, and such. But those places are also owned by The People. It is their property. But I also wonder if those are not also places where a good guy like at the mall in Greenwood could save lives especially at schools. Courthouses usually have armed officers present. The gun haters, AKA hoplophobes, think the mere presences of firearms constitutes extra danger. They never consider the motive of the carrier. Most of these anti’s have character flaws themselves and do not understand most of us are different from them. Some states with sizable dem minorities try to force armed teachers to complete the same training sworn police officers go through. We saw how all that training didn’t work in Uvalde Texas.

P. S. By signing the constitutional carry bill Dopey Prince Eric the Chinless Wonder of Hoosier-land saved a lot of lives in Greenwood mall. Thank God that young man ignored the Simon Mall rules. Those who died should sue the mall owners for not protecting them.

Lawfare like that is what it’s going to take. It will go something like “you took away my physical security and gave me cameras instead, but cameras don’t stop active shooters”.

Until Simon and their ilk start getting blasted in the pocketbook, nothing is going to change.
