The Notre Dame campus is moving to a cashless retail environment.
The University says it’s part of an effort to maintain a healthy and more efficient campus. On August 1 Notre Dame will transition to cashless retail at the school’s food service locations, dining halls, concession stands, and at St. Michael’s Laundry. Dining services at Saint Mary’s and Holy Cross Colleges will also become cashless, where the University manages their operations.
Students without credit or debit cards will be able to move cash to a visa gift card at kiosks in the Duncan and LaFortune Student Centers.
Cash will still be accepted at The Morris Inn, Rohr’s, The Hammes Notre Dame Bookstores, and a few other locations. Cash donations will still be accepted at the Grotto, and at fundraising events.

Expect prices to increase since the Visa monopoly will get their cut.
As a Notre Dame staff member, this decision ensures that I will never spend another dime on the Notre Dame campus.
It’s just the start of a cashless society before we go to a one world currency. The sheeple let this happen. Read the book 1984.
