Goshen is growing and asking for your help.

The city is creating a growth plan for the future and they’re asking for citizen input.

City officials say they’re looking at how and where they should grow the city in a consistent way.

In addition to hearing from the citizens, the city is working with Abonmarche Consultants and the Indiana Communities Institute at Ball State University.

Mayor Jeremy Stutsman says that community input is important for the potential expansion.

As of now, Goshen does not have any plans set.

The city is hosting a listening session on August 23 at 5:30 p.m. at Shrock Pavilion at Shanklin Park, 411 W. Plymouth Ave.

A survey is also available.

My input would be to stop being a sanctuary city. Sure, Goshen is growing, but they are growing blue and the quality of life in any blue city is a steady slide downhill.
