AES warns of Twitter scams

Twitter scams and people abusing the verification system on the social media site have created some challenges for the company, which was recently purchased by billionaire Elon Musk.
AES Indiana Tweeted a message to its followers, encouraging them to beware of scams in their name. They wrote, “Social media users are *actively* impersonating AES Indiana’s account and attempting to intimidate and potentially embarrass users. Please note that our official Twitter channel is @AESIndiana.”​
