BBB warns of romance scams

As Valentine’s Day approaches, the Better Business Bureau is warning of romance scams.

Romance scammers often target vulnerable people who have gone through a breakup or hardship recently.

They’ll take advantage of that heartbreak by telling a sad story and forming a connection with the victim.

Then, they’ll pursue their real goal – money.

Victims have lost thousands of dollars and have been left feeling even more heartbroken and betrayed.

Some warning signs of romance scams can include a fast-pace relationship, never meeting in person and being asked for money.
