A convicted felon was arrested after police found two handguns in his possession.
It happened around 11 Thursday morning when a trooper on I-94 pulled over a 2007 GMC Yukon for speeding and following too closely.
During the stop, the trooper developed probable cause for a vehicle search, during which two handguns were found in the center console along with 50 grams of marijuana.
The driver was identified as Darrel N. Moore from Roseville, Minnesota who is a convicted violent felon through two different states.
He was transported to the LaPorte County Jail where he was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, carrying a handgun without a permit by a convicted felon, and possession of marijuana.

See. The laws are already in place to take violent felons off the streets. The question is why was he not in a MN jail rather than driving along I-94 in Indiana? How did he get 2 handguns when convicted felons are prohibited persons?
Because he’s a criminal and the rule of law doesn’t apply to him. Keep criminals like him locked up and off the streets.
