A former Starke County Sheriff’s Detective plead guilty to two official misconduct charges in connection with a case of missing evidence from the department.

51-year-old Adam Gray of Knox was indicted on several charges last September when Indiana State Police say evidence and testimony were presented to a grand jury concerning missing evidence from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department.

After initially being indicted on multiple felony counts of official misconduct, misdemeanor theft, and misdemeanors of the dealing of paraphernalia and of marijuana, Gray reportedly ended up pleading guilty to two felony counts of official misconduct during a plea hearing in La Porte County.

His hearing is scheduled for June 9.
