Nimtz Parkway’s closure just one of many new construction projects happening next week

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)
A heads-up for drivers who use Nimtz Parkway:  It’s closing for bridge work starting Monday. It’s the overpass above U.S. 31 that’s closing. A detour will be set up using Brick Road or U.S. 20. Drivers are advised to expect slow downs, due to construction zone speed limits and congested traffic, especially during the rush hours.
A section of State Road 23 will be down to one lane starting as work gets underway, next week, south of Walkerton between U.S. 30 and Lawrence Street. Also…Starting on June 9th, State Road 23 will be closed between County Road East-650-North and County Road East-600-North for two weeks for a pipe replacement project at Rice Ditch. Resurfacing work should wrap up by late September.
If you drive along State Road 17 in Marshall County, a heads-up:  The highway will be closed, starting Monday, at Sycamore Road, 12th Road and Sage Trail. High friction surface treatment will be applied to curves on the roadway. Flaggers will be on scene to direct traffic. The project is expected to wrap up in early June.
