Suspect in murder of South Bend 11 year-old now in custody

Eighteen year-old Dominick Williams, Jr. of South Bend has been arrested for his role in the shooting death of 11 year-old T’yon Horston of South Bend.

Williams was arrested near Indianapolis on Monday, May 22. He’s been charged with Murder and a Firearm Enhancement in connection with the April 20 shooting in the 600 block of N. Johnson St.

His arrest was the result of a cooperative effort from multiple agencies including the South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Dept. and their SWAT Team, the Fishers Police Dept., and the US Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force.

On Tuesday, Williams was being transferred to the St. Joseph County Jail.

One less bad criminal off the streets of Indiana. His parents should be in the same jail for doing a horrible job raising the boy. The young Mr. Williams will be the Indiana tax payers burden, for providing him a small room with food for years.
