The Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department announces on Facebook that the annual family carnival planned for Friday night in Central Park has been canceled due to extreme heat and possible storms.

Organizers say they felt it was best for the safety of the public, the vendors and the carnival staff to cancel it. The event will not be rescheduled for this year.
