Two people injured, cited after crash on County Road 7 in Elkhart County

Two people were hurt after a car tried pulling into a driveway, then got T-boned by another vehicle which was rear-ended by a third car.

The collision happened around 6:20 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, on County Road 7 north of Hallie Drive.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, a 54-year-old Wakarusa man was attempting to turn into the driveway when a car, driven by a 22-year-old Texas man, struck the passenger side of the car. The Texas man’s vehicle was then hit from behind by a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old Elkhart woman. She suffered head trauma and cuts. The Texas man suffered neck and back pain and cuts.

Sheriff’s investigators say the Texas man was cited for not having a Valid Driver’s License, Expired Plates, and no insurance.

The Elkhart woman was cited for not having insurance, Driving While Suspended, and having False and factitious registration plates.
