A virtual hearing has been scheduled to consider a request from Indeck Energy Service in Niles.
The plant is looking to change the permit to show the equipment that they actually have on-site.
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy says the permit it is requesting would decrease the emissions it is allowed to produce.
They began taking public comments on it in July, but a hearing has been scheduled after a member of the public requested it.
You can enter the virtual hearing at 6 p.m. tonight: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_wcrKMpKqQdyLGkraYeT09Q#/registration
