Norfolk Southern Railroad has advised that they will be conducting track maintenance at several railroad crossings within the Mishawaka area beginning on Wednesday, Sep. 13. Crews will begin this process in Osceola at the Hively Ave crossing and work their way west ending near Twykenham Dr in South Bend. Each crossing repair is expected to take 2-3 days once started.

It is requested that motorist use the Capital Ave, Union St, and Ironwood Rd underpasses to avoid potential travel delays during this process.

The railroad crossings that will be affected within Mishawaka city limits during this process are as follows:

S. BEIGER ST.

S. BYRKIT AVE.

S. MERRIFIELD AVE.

LAUREL AVE.

S. MAIN ST.

S. SPRING ST.

S. LOGAN ST.

HENDRICKS ST.

CARLTON ST.

S. RUSSELL AVE.

Barricades and signage will be in place during these closures. Motorists are requested to use caution to ensure the safety of the crews working in these areas.
