A Dowagiac man has pleaded guilty after stealing cars and other items from his father and another man.

The incident happened on September 26 of last year.

38-year-old Curtis James Sylvester pleaded guilty to attempted breaking and entering of a building with intent to commit larceny and receiving, concealing or possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

Leader Publications says he was sentenced to concurrent terms of 24 months to five years in prison.
