The South Bend Police Department is giving you a chance to have car seats checked by Child Passenger Safety Technicians this Friday.

They have teamed up with State Farm and the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute for the free safety check.

From 3:30 until 6:30 you can bring your child by the department to have their seat checked.

Safety technicians will also be inspecting infant car seats for babies that have not arrived yet.
