Man shot on West Indiana Avenue in Elkhart

A 50-year-old man was shot in Elkhart. It happened around 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29.

Officers were called to the 200 block of West Indiana Avenue where they found the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s).

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Officers believe the shooting may have happened at a home in the 1500 block of Ashland Avenue and cleared the residence.
