Colon man injured in fiery crash in Cass County

Alcohol and drugs are suspected to be factors in a fiery crash that injured one person in Cass County.

The collision happened around 5:20 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, at the intersection of Lewis Lake Road and Hodgson Street in Porter Township.

A 19-year-old Colon man was traveling southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. The vehicle then caught on fire.

The man was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.
