A Milford man has been booked for driving while intoxicated after a fatal crash in Kosciusko County.

The 21 year-old was charged with OWI after his passenger died in a crash on East Epworth Forrest Road around 3:30 Wednesday morning.

Police say Victor Waikel was driving north when he went off the road and struck a tree.

36 year-old Ricardo Garcia was riding in the back of the car, reportedly without a seatbelt, and died at the scene.

Another passenger in the front seat refused medical treatment.
