A North Carolina man was taken into custody last week, after a double homicide outside a restaurant in Elkhart.
The man, 22-year-old Christian Wall, told investigators he doesn’t remember fighting or shooting anyone. He was being held without bond at the Elkhart County Jail on murder charges.
An initial hearing is scheduled for December 21.
Dispatch got a call about a shooting at 12:22 a.m. on December 14 outside Galley Sports Pub on Northview Drive.
The Elkhart Truth reports that one of the men, 30-year-old Michael Pike, was pronounced dead at the scene and the other man, 24-year-old Jalen Young, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officers found Wall in a car in the parking lot, just several feet away from the two victims.
Police say Wall was slow to respond to commands and appeared to be intoxicated and that a handgun was found in the car.
