Donald Trump won a victory in his fight for eligibility on the 2024 Michigan Ballot on Wednesday.
Michigan’s top court declined to hear a case that sought to disqualify the former president from the upcoming primary ballot. The Michigan Supreme Court said it would not hear an appeal from four voters in the state who hoped to keep Trump off the February 27 ballot, claiming he had engaged in insurrection or rebellion after swearing an oath to the United States.
The Court said they were not persuaded that they should review the questions posed by the appeal.
The ruling contrasts with a decision by Colorado’s top court last week to disqualify Trump under the same constitutional provision.
