Stephenson’s in downtown Elkhart is launching an annual Coat Drive. The drive is underway now through Saturday, Dec. 30.
The initiative partners with SPA Women’s Ministries, and aims to collect and distribute warm coats to individuals and families in need during the upcoming winter season.
The coat drive provides an opportunity for community members to come together and make a meaningful impact. With the colder months in full swing, many individuals are struggling to afford adequate winter clothing, making the need for warm coats critical.
“We are looking forward to another Coat Drive, and with it an opportunity to give back to a community that has given so much to us. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has access to a warm coat during the cold winter months. We invite individuals, businesses, and community organizations to join us in making a difference!” said Lily Reynolds Miller, store representative.
The organization encourages the donation of new or gently used coats for individuals of all ages and sizes. Coats can be dropped off at Stephenson’s during their regular store hours – Monday-Friday 10-5:30, and Saturday 10-4.
Monetary donations are also welcome and will be sent directly to SPA Women’s Ministries.
With every donation, Stephenson’s is offering 30-40% off any new coat or eligible purchase.
