Indiana Council for Animal Welfare warns of online puppy scams

You’ve likely heard the warnings about falling for recent online puppy scams.
Buying puppies online is similar to playing Russian roulette. That statement from Jonathan Lawler, public policy director for the Indiana Council for Animal Welfare.
He says says scammers are using fake advertisements and websites and they will usually ask for money up front in exchange for a puppy that doesn’t exist.
He recommends that you, instead, visit local stores and breeders that obey ethical standards.
Lawler also suggests choosing Canine Care Certified breeders for quality.
