A car wash in Downtown Elkhart is reopening, after a two and a half year closure.

Rocket Car Wash on Lexington Avenue closed in 2021, after being open for more than 60 years. The new owner has another car wash in Elkhart, besides Rocket.

He says he heard customers talking about how they missed Rocket, because of its old school concept. The cars are brought in by the customers, then the staff does the rest of the work.

WSBT reports that some of the workers from the original car wash came back. It’s open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
