An Elkhart father has been sentenced after pleading guilty to strangling his own daughters to the point of near death.
Steven L. Jackson, 50, was sentenced to 40 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to the attack that happened in early 2022.
Jackson has a criminal record that includes robbery and possession of cocaine, but had stayed out of trouble since 2005.
According to the Goshen News, court documents say one of his daughters told officers their dad came home angry about a text he got from their mother and that he threatened to kill them and kill himself.
One of the two girls was able to escape for help.

The evil in this world is insane! Obviously, like most people, I dont think 40 years is even enough. But if he lives that long, other inmates will ensure he is miserable every day.
