A teenage boy was hospitalized after leading Goshen Police on a chase.

It happened just after 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, when Gohen Goshen Police attempted to stop a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle fled from the officer on Pike Street eastbound and continued on Elkhart Road northbound. The pursuit ended when the vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old male, drove between two northbound vehicles, left the northbound lanes, crossed a median, and collided with a semi truck and trailer head-on near Ferndale Road and Elkhart Road.

The 17-year-old received multiple injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle. MedFlight transported him to an area hospital. A 25-year-old driver reported minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
