Two injured in Hickory Village Apt. fire Monday morning

Two injuries were reported after a fire Monday morning at Hickory Village Apartments in Mishawaka.

Crews were called around 7:30 a.m. and found flames coming from an apartment window. The fire was put out quickly and everyone in the building, including pets, made it out safely.

Two people were transported to the hospital after they were evaluated by medics at the scene, and at least six apartments were damaged by the fire. The cause is still unkonwn at this time.
