On April 9, 2014, Robert Griffin shot at another person, missing him.  Instead, 2-year-old John Swoveland, Jr., who was playing outside of his South Bend home, was struck by the bullet and died.

Robert Griffin was convicted for that Murder and sentenced to 60 years.

Tyre Mark Bradbury, who was 14-years-old at the time, was also convicted of Aiding, Inducing or Causing the Murder for supplying the firearm.

Earlier this year, that conviction was set aside after a witness who had testified made allegations that he had lied at that original trial.

On Thursday, March 14, Bradbury admitted to his role in the toddler’s death.  With that, he was convicted of Aiding, Inducing or Causing Aggravated Battery and was sentenced to 20 years behind bars.
