Three juveniles recovering after being shot in Elkhart

The Elkhart Police Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting with multiple juvenile victims that occurred in the 300 block of Jackson Place in Elkhart.
It was around 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, when Elkhart Police Officers received a 911 call of a shooting with injuries that occurred in the 300 block of Jackson Place. Elkhart City Police Department officers and first responders were dispatched and arrived shortly after that. Upon arrival, officers encountered a 12-year-old male with a gunshot wound and rendered first aid. Medics transported the juvenile to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
While at the scene, Communications notified EPD officers of two additional gunshot wound victims located in the 100 block of N Main St, Elkhart. These individuals, 16 and 17 years old, were transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Initial investigation indicates that these individuals were also shot in the same incident and ran from the scene.
Officers collected evidence at the scene. At this time, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
