Long section of State Road 2 to be resurfaced beginning Thursday

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)
Traffic may be slow-going, later this week, for drivers who use State Road 2 between U.S. 20 in LaPorte County and Quince Rd in St. Joseph County beginning on or after Thursday, March 28.
This 14-mile stretch of State Road 2 will be resurfaced, resulting in alternating lane closures through early November.
Work will begin in the section between U.S. 20 and Snowberry Road. The project will include asphalt patching, pipe work, culvert, resurfacing and pavement markings.
Drivers should be prepared for changing traffic patterns and delays during peak times.
