Unemployment rate up in Elkhart, St. Joseph counties

The unemployment rate is up in both Elkhart and St. Joseph Counties.
In Elkhart County, the rate is up .3% for February to 4.4%. That’s higher than last year. In St. Joseph County, the rate is up .5% to 4.8%, also up from last year. The statewide jobless rate is at 3.5%.
